1 Educational Needs Assessment Visit to Gundumar Turawa Fulani Ibrahim Community
Date: Sunday, 24th November 2024
Location: Gundumar Turawa Fulani Ibrahim Community, Soba LGA, Kaduna State
Purpose:
To evaluate the educational situation of the self-established community schools built by the Fulani Ibrahim Community.
Summary:
Led by Executive President Fatima Zahra Bashir, the team visited six schools serving over 200 pupils each. The community had built the schools without any
government assistance, demonstrating great resilience. However, the following challenges were identified:
Poor infrastructure
Lack of qualified teachers
Insufficient learning materials
No toilets, water, or electricity
A detailed report was compiled and submitted to Soba Local Government Education Secretary and Kaduna SUBEB to seek intervention.
2 Meeting with Soba Local Government Education Secretary
Date: Thursday, 28th November 2024
Location: Soba Local Government Secretariat, Kaduna State
Purpose:
To present findings from the Fulani Ibrahim Community needs assessment and advocate for support.
Summary:
The meeting emphasized the community’s urgent needs and The Initiative secured Soba Local Government’s full support. An agreement was reached for partnership on education development for the Fulani community.
Outcome:
Partnership confirmed between Seed of Change Initiative and Soba Local Government for educational development in the Fulani Ibrahim Community.

3 Engagement with Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB)
Date: Monday, 17th February 2025
Location: Kaduna State SUBEB Headquarters
Purpose:
To advocate for SUBEB’s intervention for Fulani Ibrahim schools, seek for qualified teachers to be posted to the schools and official registration of the schools with SUBEB.
Summary:
A full briefing was held with SUBEB officials. As a result, SUBEB agreed to list the Fulani Ibrahim schools as one of their priority projects for the 2025 education interventions.
Outcome:
Official collaboration with SUBEB was established and promised to send their representative to supervise the community schools for official recognition and intervention.

4 Appointment of National Advisory Board Chairman
Date: Monday, 13th January 2025
Location: Zaria Kaduna
Purpose:
To strengthen leadership by appointing Sheikh Dr. Aliyu Rasheed Makarfi as National Advisory Board Chairman.
Outcome:
Dr. Makarfi accepted the appointment, providing strategic leadership and advisory support to the organization.
5. Royal Engagements
Visit to Emir of Lafia and Appointment as Patron
Date: Tuesday, 14th January 2025
Location: Emir’s Palace, Lafia, Nasarawa State
Purpose:
To appoint His Royal Highness Hon. Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage as Patron and seek his royal endorsement also presented to him a proposed bill concerning the traditional institutions.
Outcome:
The Emir accepted patron ship and pledged his full support. the bill to strengthen traditional institutions was also accepted by him and he was amazed by the organizations activities.
Visit to Emir of Zazzau and Appointment as Patron
Date: Thursday, 23rd January 2025
Location: Emir’s Palace, Zaria, Kaduna State
Purpose:
To appoint His Highness Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as Patron.
Outcome:
The Emir accepted the patron ship and endorsed Seed of Change Initiative’s mission
6. Scholarship Award to Young Lady Maryaam Muhammed at Elite International
College of Health Science And Technology School
Date: Monday, 6th January 2025
Location: Zaria Kaduna
Purpose:
To provide educational support to underprivileged youth.
Outcome:
Seed of Change Initiative awarded a full scholarship to a deserving young lady to study Public Health at the Elite International College Of Science and Technology School, covering all academic expenses.
7. Shoemaker Empowerment in Samaru, Zaria
Date: Friday, 25th April 2025
Location: Samaru, Zaria, Kaduna State
Purpose:
To empower youth entrepreneurship.
Outcome:
The Initiative supported a young, talented shoemaker by:
Opening and equipping him a new shop
Providing tools and materials for productivity
The project boosted his capacity to generate sustainable income.
8. Strategic Goals and 2025 Projections
Increase direct community interventions by 50%.
Empower at least 10,000 women-led microbusinesses.
Expand educational scholarships to 50 students across northern states.
Launch cultural preservation programs in three different states.
Strengthen partnerships with public and private sectors.
9. Conclusion and Way Forward
Seed of Change Initiative has recorded significant achievements within a short period. However, the journey toward sustainable development continues.
By strengthening collaborations, mobilizing support, and expanding interventions, the Initiative remains committed to transforming the lives of marginalized Nigerians.
